Bloody Mary Recipe
This months choice for a favorite recipe is a classic Bloody Mary! Enjoy!
1 quart tomato juice
1 large, well smashed and chopped clove of garlic
1 cup premium vodka
1/2 cup lemon juice (about 3 lemons)
6 tablespoons lime juice (about 5 small limes)
3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
3 tablespoons prepared horseradish
2 tablespoons red hot sauce. I like Cajun Chef, Tabasco, Crystal or Louisiana
1 dash Siracha
1 tablespoon olive juice, preferably from Manzanilla olives
1/2 teaspoon celery salt
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon and a pinch black pepper
Vegetables for Garnishes:
Pickled green beans, pickled okra, pickled jalapeno, pickled cherry peppers.
Celery stalks, large Manzanilla olives (I like stuffed with blue cheese), speared two at a time on toothpicks, lime wedges and lemon wedges, seeds removed. Great with a well seasoned boiled shrimp or two speared on a toothpick.
